About Me: I am a passion-driven individual who enjoys the art of photography, videography, branding and graphic design. I have served various organizations and was previously the Vice President of Development Communication Society. I hope to one day travel the world, working for positive change in most vulnerable communities.

A few sentences on your Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge program experience: This marks my second time joining the P2P program and in both campaigns, as the Social Media and Designs Head. In the past with PeaceKwela and now, with I Am Mindanao, both of my experiences brought out a greater sense of purpose and passion within me. This year was a greater challenge as the campaign was limited to conduct to online platforms. Our team sought to go beyond and reach out further in the wide virtual space. I found deeper appreciation for communications and graphic design in the pursuit of our campaign’s advocacy.

A few sentences on why your project so important/impactful: In this day and age of maximized online activity, the youth have become more vulnerable in the virtual space. Among the risks are recruitments from violent extremist groups on various online platforms to which I Am Mindanao (IAM) counters with its advocacy of positive messaging and countering hate speech online. With IAM, an avenue is made available for the youth to amplify this very advocacy and highlight their important role in countering violent extremism and ultimately, peacebuilding.
