About Me: Since I was a child, I have always been interested in writing and reading. My other interests include politics, music, storytelling, art, food and memes. I aspire to become a human rights lawyer one day.

A few sentences on your Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge program experience: This experience has to be one of the most fun, fruitful and impactful experiences of my life as a junior. I was given the opportunity to truly “be out there” in our communities and engage with all sorts of people. This experience has strengthened my sense of volunteerism and belongingness.

A few sentences on why your project so important/impactful: I Am Mindanao has always believed that the only true way to counter violent extremism and hate of all sorts is through peaceful dialogue. There are way too many instances and examples throughout history when hate is also being fought with hate, creating an endless cycle. We can still see these conflicts today in and out of our communities and even online. As long as these problems continue to emerge and affect our youth, our campaign, and the counter-speech peace movement as a whole, will always be important.
