About Me: I’ve always considered communicating with people and leadership as my strongest suit. Since my early academic years, I’ve always volunteered in leadership and community work. Through such I was able to harness a deep sense of empathy for people from all walks of life. Previously, I served as the President of our organization Development Communication Society.

A few sentences on your Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge program experience: This has been my 3rd time participating in the P2P program and each experience has always been fruitful and fun. I have previously led PeaceKwela and I Am Mindanao as Team Leader and now I’ve continued with the same responsibility. It was a challenge since everything has to be done online but the enthusiasm and dedication has never changed. It was a pleasure to work with different organizations and meeting them albeit virtually. 

A few sentences on why your project so important/impactful: I Am Mindanao has proven to be relevant more than ever. Now that the pandemic has stopped the world in its tracks, violent extremist groups have found their way to fully utilize the online platform to capacitate their objectives. Thus, I Am Mindanao exerted all its efforts to promote peaceful dialogue and peacebuilding initiatives through various online strategies to make the online world a friendlier and peaceful environment especially for the youth.
