A few sentences on your Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge program experience: Online social networks have evolved as a means of communication, and they continue to play a critical role in the modern era. The social networks have simplified communication to the point where anyone may communicate with anyone else in a short period of time. However, with these benefits, these platforms are frequently used to disseminate hate, rumours, hoaxes, and propaganda. This digital challenge was necessary at the time, since numerous fear mongers promoted fear/panic via a variety of propagandistic blogs. According to me, the sole limitation of this program was that we could not send remarks on politics or religion. However, a review of the literature reveals that the majority of propagandistic posts are about politics and religion.

A few sentences on why your project so important/impactful:
As a research scholar, this project is really beneficial to me because my research area overlaps with that of this program. This project contributes to the fight against extremism and propaganda by educating the general public through seminars, webinars, and other means. To the best of my knowledge, no means of countering propaganda has been initiated by social media sites. The purpose of this campaign was to raise awareness about propaganda by displaying various examples of the repercussions of propaganda and how it is propagated.
